DInner with Indonesian Student
On around 16 November 2025, PPI organized another gathering for Indonesian students. This time, it was a dinner event specifically for the new batch of Indonesian student. The theme was fun and unexpected, everyone was supposed to cosplay as fictional characters. For many, it was a chance to dress up creatively and show a bit of personality. However, the male, us, preferred something simpler. Instead of elaborate costumes, we decided to wear batik. It felt neat, comfortable, and still represented a piece of Indonesian identity. While others wore capes, wigs, or playful accessories, we arrived in patterned batik shirts. Actually batik also can represent our character from the design or even the pattern or we called it motif batik.
Throughout the night, the program continued with singing sessions, quizzes, and various fun games that kept the room alive. People cheered, teased each other, and shared jokes across the tables. Every activity felt like an invitation to interact, break the ice, and slowly become closer as a group. The most heartwarming part was how natural everything felt. Everyone was far from home, yet the atmosphere felt familiar. It reminded us of gatherings back in Indonesia, the playful teasing, the chaotic singing, the cultural references that didn’t need explanation. It was comforting and special in its own way.
